  1. Uglies was one of my favorite YA series and prompted my phase in high school when I plowed through the YA section of the library. I read 1984 and Brave New World for English class within a year of reading Uglies and enjoyed those as well. Now that I think about it, that English class was kinda Dystopia 101 in real life!
