The Book Courtship Book Tag

Thank you to Aira @ AiraReads for the tag! Here’s the tag:

Phase 1 – Initial Attraction: A book that you bought because of the cover?

The cover captured my attention first. What is the girl holding? I asked myself. Then the plot synopsis finally reigned me in enough that I ordered the book on Amazon.

Phase 2 – First Impressions: A book that you got because of the summary?

I forgot where I initially was introduced to Snow Like Ashes in the blogosphere, but I remember being really captivated by the plot synopsis and the cover. Unfortunately, I did not finish it in time before I had to return it to the library.

Phase 3 – Sweet Talk: A book with great writing?

I was actually pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed the writing of this book. Somehow, the author managed to give sufficient description that I could easily visualize what was unfolding without overwhelming me with description.

Phase 4 – First Date: A first book of a series which made you want to pick up the rest of the series?

Phase 5 – Late Night Phone Calls: A book that kept you up all night?

I know everything got nicely wrapped up in the epilogue,  but the ending was still haunting somehow.

Phase 6 – Always on my mind: A book you could not stop thinking about?

Even after I finished Queen of Shadows, I could not stop thinking about it. I’m still rereading it.

Phase 7 – Getting Physical: A book which you love the way it feels?

When I’m rereading The Hunger Games, I sometimes run my hand over the mockingjay embossed in the cover.

Phase 8 – Meeting the parents: A book which you would recommend to your family and friends?

The Giver, I think, is a great modern dystopian classic and something that people who aren’t big fans of YA dystopias could read and still enjoy.

Phase 9 – Thinking about the future: A book or series you know you will re read many times in the future?

I think that these books are amazing in so many ways that they speak for themselves.
