The Halloween Book Tag

I saw this tag at Tasha’s blog–The Bookie Monster.  She tagged anyone who wanted to do it and since it’s Halloween today, I thought it would be an appropriate tag to do.

1. Favorite horror book?

I don’t know. I don’t really read horror a lot, but I’ve just read Coraline by Neil Gaiman and that was definitely horror with weird Other worlds and Other Mothers.

2. Scariest moment in a book you’ve read?

The scariest moment in a book I’ve read would probably be the interrogation scenes in Nineteen Eighty-Four. Those moments were intense and frightening.

3. Would you or have you ever dressed up as a book character for Halloween?

Yes. I’ve dressed up as Katniss from The Hunger Games before for Halloween.

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins

4. What do you think your favorite character would dress up as for Halloween?

I think my favorite character (Katniss) would not want to dress up for Halloween and would end up chaperoning Prim instead.

5. What is your favourite kind of horror? (gore, psychological thriller, spooky)

My favorite kind of horror is probably spooky.

6. If books were as cheap as candy, which ones would you give out to trick-or-treaters?

If books were cheap as candy, I would give out Coraline by Neil Gaiman. Coraline is an appropriately spooky book for Halloween.

7. Halloween to-read list?

I don’t really have one. But I’ve always been interested in reading The Legend of Sleepy Hallow by Washington Irving, since Headless Horsemen would fit in exceptionally well with Halloween.

8. Recommend some Halloween reads!

Coraline by Neil Gaiman.

These are my answers, if you like this tag feel free to do it! Happy Halloween! 🙂
