Top Ten Tuesdays are a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. The topic of January 19, 2016 is: Books I’ve Recently Added To My TBR.
1. Passenger by Alexandra Bracken
Mainly the plot and cover convinced me to add this book to my TBR.
2. The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken
Since I’d like to read Alexandra Bracken’s Passenger, I thought I might want to read another book of the author’s as well.
3. Truthwitch by Susan Dennard
I’ve been seeing Truthwitch floating around the blogosphere and since it’s just been released, I wanted to read it before the hype affects my opinion (although I have to admit that Sarah J. Maas’s quote on the cover did influence me). Hype aside, the plot really interested me.
4. This Is Where It Ends by
5. Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine
The cover and the title both really intrigued me, which is why I added it to my TBR.
6. Paper and Fire by Rachel Caine
Seeing as I added its prequel to my TBR, it would only make sense to add the sequel. Plus it’s set in a library! 🙂
7. The Infinite Sea by Rick Yancey
The fact that film adaption of the first book–The 5th Wave–is coming out this year combined with that cliffhanger in The 5th Wave made me immediately add The Infinite Sea to my TBR after finishing book 1.
8. Scarlet by Marissa Meyer
I just finished Cinder and loved it, so naturally I had to include Scarlet–especially with the cliffhanger at the end of Cinder.
9. The Invisible Library by Genevieve Cogman
Around the blogosphere, I’ve seen The Invisible Library mentioned a few times, but it was enough for me (combined with the interesting title) to add it to my TBR (without closely reading the GoodReads synopsis).
10. If I Stay by Gayle Forman
I’ve technically already started this book, but I don’t remember much from those first few pages I’ve read, so I decided to add this. I just saw the film adaptation (and broke my rule of normally reading the book before the film adaption) and thought it was fairly good, which rekindled my interest.
Are any of these books on your TBR? What are your thoughts on some of these books? What books have you recently added to your TBR? Feel free to post a comment with a link to your TTT in a comment.
Thanks for reading and Happy Tuesday! 🙂
